If you want to continue your studies after receiving a bachelor's degree, you can enter the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" for the 1st year of the master's degree. You will acquire the next level of higher education - master's level. Education at this level lasts 1 year 4 months — educational and professional program or 1 year 9 months — educational and scientific program. The educational and professional training program is the preparation of masters in a certain field of knowledge for further professional work, the educational and scientific training program is designed for the further scientific work of a master's graduate.

Admission to the 1st course of the master's degree in the educational program "Biotechnology" is carried out according to the general rules, which can be found on the website of the university's admissions committee or at the link Regulations on admission to study.

For admission at a state order (budget), you need to prepare:

  • pass a professional entrance test;
  • submit for consideration a motivation letter *

To enroll in studies at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities (contract):

*A motivation letter is written in an arbitrary form information about your interest in joining Igor Sikorskyi KPI and the corresponding expectations, achievements in education and other activities, own strengths and weaknesses.

The cost of one year of full-time master's studies is UAH 28,000, part-time - UAH 15,000.

Tuition fees for the 2022/2023 academic year

Did you decide to change your major after receiving your bachelor's degree? There is no need to take an additional entrance test this year. But it is necessary to pass the entrance professional test!

Documents for admission to the master's degree are submitted exclusively electronically. By state order, you can submit up to 5 applications (without specifying priority), the number of applications for the funds of individuals and/or legal entities is a maximum of 20. In order to submit documents, you need to register an electronic account from August 1. Applications can be submitted from August 16 to September 15 inclusive. Entrance tests for the chosen profession can be taken until September 19, inclusive, in accordance with the work schedule of the certification commission. 

 The professional entrance test for the master's degree will be held on September 16 and 17 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. every day.

BIOTECHNOLOGIES

Biotechnology and bioengineering is an interdisciplinary field that arose at the junction of biological, chemical and technical sciences, so by choosing this educational program, you will actually receive three educations at the same time! Specialists in the field of biotechnology and bioengineering know exactly how to obtain medical drugs, food additives and biologically active substances, provide agriculture with bacterial fertilizers, plant protection products, renewable energy sources in order to reduce the scale of pollution of the planet with various wastes, work on the creation of new organisms using bioengineering methods , model biological processes and create medicines using bioinformatics methods. After receiving a diploma, graduates find the application of their abilities and skills at enterprises of the microbiological, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic industry and in scientific research institutes.
